In May, fans from all over the United States and Canada catapulted Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron to a $191.3 million opening weekend. As part of that record-breaking achievement, we battled in our regions to activate more than 25 partnerships with radio and television stations, newspapers, professional sports teams, and online, retail and social media outlets.
Idols, kids and superheroes
Focusing on family and camaraderie, Fingerpaint helped one radio station give the ultimate superhero kid a VIP experience at the advance screening, made superhero press drops to radio stations, and arranged appearances at the screening. The outcome? Fingerpaint helped Marvel earn its second biggest opening weekend of all time with the highest grossing film of 2015 thus far—and its third billion-dollar film globally.
